This is a senior regional leadership role responsible for executing Maersk's global Safety & Resilience strategy across the region, strengthening operational discipline, reducing risk exposure, and fostering a proactive safety culture that protects our people while enabling sustainable business growth.

We offer

  • Significant exposure to senior leaders across multiple countries, functions and business units.

  • The ability to shape regional strategy while driving tangible operational impact.

  • A collaborative, values-driven environment focused on continuous improvement and care for our people.

Key responsibilities

Lead the APA Safety & Resilience Strategy

  • Execute the global Safety & Resilience strategy across Asia Pacific while adapting to regional operational and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive consistency in HSE standards, governance and performance across the region.

  • Translate risk insights into actionable improvement plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Partner with business leaders to strengthen safety performance while supporting operational excellence and growth.

Drive Risk Management & Assurance

  • Lead regional HSE governance, risk management, compliance and assurance activities.

  • Ensure effective audit programmes and robust follow-up on corrective actions.

  • Lead investigations into serious incidents and drive organisational learning.

  • Provide professional challenge and independent judgement when safety standards or compliance requirements are at risk.

Build Capability & Culture

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of HSE professionals across Asia Pacific.

  • Foster a strong culture of accountability, speaking up and continuous improvement.

  • Influence and engage leaders across countries, functions and business units to strengthen ownership of safety outcomes.

Enterprise & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Represent Asia Pacific within global Safety & Resilience forums and initiatives.

  • Drive collaboration across functions and business units to support a One Maersk approach.

  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices to strengthen regional standards.

  • Lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

We’re looking for
  • Extensive HSE leadership experience within logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehousing, industrial, or similarly complex operational environments.

  • Proven success leading HSE across multiple countries in Asia Pacific, with strong understanding of regional regulatory and cultural landscapes.

  • Strong expertise in HSE governance, risk management, compliance, assurance and operational resilience.

  • Ability to execute global strategy while adapting to local business and regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex matrix organisations.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance commercial priorities, safety standards and governance requirements.

  • Confident and professionally assertive leader who can challenge unsafe behaviours and ineffective ways of working while maintaining strong business partnerships.

  • Global mindset, enterprise perspective and proven ability to build high-performing teams and drive results through influence rather than authority.

Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Singapore and authorised to work in Singapore, with demonstrated leadership experience across the Asia Pacific region.
