Purpose

The Regional Head of Data, Analytics, and AI is a senior executive role within Chubb Asia Pacific, responsible for shaping and executing the region’s data, analytics, and AI strategy. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this position drives business value by leading advanced data and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with global standards, and fostering innovation across multiple countries. The role is pivotal in partnering with business and functional leaders to prioritise and implement solutions that support Chubb’s strategic objectives. The role will also interact directly with Chubb’s clients, partners, brokers and their data and analytics teams to collaborate and build data analytics solutions to drive profitable growth. 


Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Leadership
    • Define and execute the regional data, analytics, and AI strategy in alignment with global objectives and business priorities.
    • Serve as a key member of the Asia Pacific executive leadership team, providing thought leadership on data-driven and AI transformation.
    • Champion a data-driven culture across the region, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Identify opportunities and own business cases to drive profitable growth and efficiencies through use of analytics and AI solutions.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with business leaders in both commercial and consumer lines to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics and AI initiatives.
    • Collaborate with functional leaders (e.g., Underwriting, Claims, Finance, IT, Marketing) to drive cross-functional value.
    • Act as the primary regional interface with global data, analytics, and AI teams to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Execution & Delivery
    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics, AI, and data solutions across multiple countries.
    • Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure data solutions that meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and regularly report on the value and ROI of data, analytics, and AI investments.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team of data, analytics, and AI professionals across the region.
    • Build organizational capabilities through talent development, recruitment, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Enforce Chubb data and AI governance, quality, and privacy standards in line with global and regional regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Qualifications
  • Extensive leadership experience in data, analytics, and AI, preferably within the general insurance or financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of driving data and analytics strategy and large-scale transformation across multiple geographies.
  • Strong experience in leading multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Deep understanding of AI technologies, AI applications, advanced analytics, machine learning, and data management.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business and functional leaders to deliver business value through data and analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and influence clients and sponsors on data analytics initiatives and co-create capabilities.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and change management skills.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or related field preferred.

Technical Capabilities

  • Strong command of modern data platforms (cloud, lakehouse, ETL/ELT) and scalable enterprise data design. 

  • Hands-on experience with machine learning, generative AI, NLP, LLM and deploying models into production environments. 

  • Experience with data pipeline design, machine learning, feature stores, and model monitoring. 

  • Proficient in enterprise tools and advanced analytics to drive commercial and operational insights. 

  • Deep understanding of data and AI governance, quality, lineage, and regulatory compliance.
