Regional e-Commerce Marketplace, Senior Specialist (2yrs contract)

This role involves leading Samsung's regional e-commerce marketplace strategy, focusing on revenue growth, managing third-party relationships, and supporting local teams.
Position Summary
To formulate and spearhead Samsung’s regional 3P marketplace strategy to drive revenue growth within the region. This includes working in collaboration with local 3P teams on business continuity and key growth initiatives, as well as alongside with marketplace partners to garner their support operationally.
Role and Responsibilities
- Co-lead and manage 3P (Third-Party) marketplace business in South East Asia and Oceania
- Defines the core strategies and growth areas to guide along the local 3P teams as they manage the day-to-day operations to scale up the 3P business
- Identify new market opportunities and work on expanding the marketplace presence
- Engages and builds strong relationship with regional platform partners and represents local subsidiaries’ voice on key requests whenever necessary.
- Leads as the “Point of Contact” with Headquarters and External Agencies on all matters relating to this channel
- Liaises with various internal regional stakeholders (Regional Performance Marketing, Campaigns, Business units, etc.) to ensure optimal regional support for business- as-usual (BAU) store operations as well as sales & marketing activities
- Regular close monitoring of business key indicators and store setup to assess local performance, including putting forth recommendations to improve the business.
- Liaise with partners on key platform initiatives such as Joint Business Planning, Integrated Trade In, Live Commerce, etc
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree holder with at least 3- 5 years of relevant working experience in e-Commerce / sales within the consumer space. Some knowledge or experience in marketing will be an added advantage.
- Highly professional and collaborative individual with the ability to interact well with all levels
- Excellent communication skills to manage relationships with regional platform and third parties as well as persuade stakeholders
- Good project management skills, to be able to effectively work with a budget, meet deadlines for multiple projects and ensure sales target is being met.
- Sound analytical skills, to be able to acquire and analyse data to draw actionable insights and apply towards sales achievement
- Strong execution & follow through skills with multi-functional team & external partners
