Position Summary

The Regional D2C Data Automation Developer/Manager will be responsible for managing report creation, data processing, and data cleaning processes. The candidate will design efficient systems and write codes (python, sql) to automate processes within the MS environment, without the use of cloud resources. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and has experience developing and managing data systems.

Role and Responsibilities

Data Operations:

  • Develop data systems that data analysts can use to create recurring daily reports
  • Create systems that work with current company systems (e.g., MS Office) and adhere to company data policies
  • Ensure data consistency and correctness in data sources and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Identify and catalogue system requirements, author data dictionaries and guides
  • Identify inefficiencies in the analysis and data extraction processes and propose solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, automation, and standardization.

Data Quality:

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that data is received on time and is accurate
  • Develop systems to automatically identify data error and anomalies
  • Create processes to correct data errors and manage anomalies

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in data operations and automation, preferably in an e-commerce or retail setting.
  • Proficient in Python, VBA, and SQL (at least in 2 of the listed coding languages); proficiency in other development/coding languages (e.g., R) is a plus
  • Experience working with GitHub and MS Visual Studio
  • Very good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with short turnarounds, and rapidly changing sources of data
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Be comfortable receiving data/information in different languages and be able to use translation apps as necessary
