How You'll Make an Impact
  • Drive business development activities and build a strong pipeline of opportunities across the BESS and Integrated Solutions portfolio throughout Hub Asia.
  • Develop and expand relationships with customers, utilities, developers, EPCs, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends to support business growth.
  • Support local operating units in opportunity pursuits, customer engagement, sales strategy development, and tender preparation.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the regional BESS growth strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, project execution, supply chain, service teams, and product groups to deliver competitive and differentiated solutions.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with battery suppliers, technology providers, and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop innovative business models, strategic partnerships, and commercial frameworks that create value for customers and Hitachi Energy.
  • Promote integrated solutions by leveraging both Hitachi Energy and third-party technologies where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, regulations, and business guidelines.
  • Live Hitachi Energy's values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues, customers, and the business.
Your Background
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, strategic marketing, or customer solutions within the energy, power, renewable energy, or electrification sectors.
  • Proven experience in the Asian energy market with a strong track record of driving business growth and developing customer relationships.
  • Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Energy Management Systems, renewable energy, grid integration, or related integrated energy solutions.
  • Strong understanding of system integration and utility-scale energy projects.
  • Proven experience supporting complex tenders, opportunity development, and commercial pursuits.
  • Experience developing market strategies and driving growth in emerging or rapidly evolving business segments.
  • Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization and collaborate with technical, commercial, operational, and supply chain teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate customer needs into business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with CRM and business analytics tools is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional Asian languages are an advantage.

Location: Singapore preferred, with consideration for other Hub Asia locations such as Malaysia for exceptional candidates.
