SUMMARY
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements while reducing defects, improving process capability, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry, customer, and internal quality standards.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits.

Product & Process Quality

  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to achieve quality objectives.
  • Lead investigations of non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality escapes.
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness.

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Develop and maintain quality inspection plans, control plans, and quality procedures.
  • Review production data and quality trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support first article inspections (FAI), process qualifications, and new product introductions (NPI).

Supplier Quality Management

  • Support supplier qualification and performance monitoring activities.
  • Conduct supplier audits and drive supplier corrective actions.
  • Work closely with procurement and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement projects.
  • Utilize statistical methods to improve process capability and reduce variation.
  • Facilitate Kaizen activities and waste reduction initiatives.

Customer Quality Support

  • Participate in customer quality reviews and audits.
  • Respond to customer quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and quality improvements.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze quality metrics and present findings to management.
  • Prepare quality reports, scorecards, and performance dashboards.
  • Monitor KPIs and recommend improvement actions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3–8 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing, electronics, automotive, semiconductor, aerospace, industrial, or consumer product industries.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • ISO 9001
    • Quality Management Systems
    • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
    • CAPA
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Process Auditing
    • Control Plans and PFMEA
  • Experience using quality tools such as:
    • 8D
    • 5 Why
    • Fishbone Diagram
    • Pareto Analysis
    • FMEA
    • MSA
    • DOE
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). (optional)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt. (Or any similar)
  • Experience with IPC standards, electronics manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive quality systems (IATF 16949) is advantageous.
  • Experience using Minitab or other statistical software.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES/QMS platforms.
