About the job
Main responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory equipment maintenance, cleaning and calibration as and when required
- Support the general laboratory activities, including laboratory housekeeping and staging of chemicals, reagents, and consumables
- Support inventory management, contract lab management and waste management for QC laboratory
- Participate and contribute to laboratory continuous improvement with regards to safety and operational efficiency
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the internship, you will:
- Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices, good laboratory practices, good documentation practice and data integrity requirements
- Have an understanding of the role Quality Control plays in ensuring product quality and safety for patients
- Gain technical skills in a laboratory setting, including operation of laboratory equipment and maintaining inventory of chemicals and consumables
- Gain experience in QC laboratory workflow and processes
About you
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability in scientific/ investigative report writing
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical plant operations and test methods
Soft skills:
- Fluency in English speaking and writing
- Ability to communicate well and collaborate with others
- Problem solving and critical thinking
