We are looking for a talented QA Intern to join our team in Pandan Ave, Singapore. This is an onsite role. Internship period will be 6 months or longer, depending on Singapore colleges/universities session.

The internship with the Cummins Quality Assurance department will provide the intern exposure to real business operations regarding quality systems, compliance standards, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives in maintaining operational excellence and product quality. The intern will be given hands-on opportunities to understand, analyze, and improve current operational and quality-related processes while supporting cross-functional teams in achieving quality objectives. 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with operations functional managers and team leaders on process and system improvements related to quality assurance, operational efficiency, and compliance standards. 
  • Support quality inspection activities, process monitoring, and documentation review to ensure compliance with company quality requirements and procedures. 
  • Assist in compiling, analyzing, and maintaining quality-related metrics, reports, and dashboard tracking to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Develop and update quality dashboards and visual reports to support data-driven decision-making and operational monitoring. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as process optimization, waste reduction, and standardization activities. 
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for operational or quality-related issues. 
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including operations, warehouse, engineering, and other stakeholders to improve workflow efficiency and product/service quality. 
  • Promote a quality-first mindset by supporting quality awareness sharing, communication initiatives, and best practice discussions across teams. 
  • Assist in preparing quality documentation, reports, SOP reviews, presentations, and audit-related materials. 
  • Support internal inspections, compliance reviews, and quality improvement projects assigned by the QA team. 
  • Be trained to understand quality management systems, operational procedures, dashboard reporting, and process compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualification:

  • Education: Diploma and/or Nitec in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Environmental Engineering, or related fields. 
  • Experience: Knowledge of warehouse, manufacturing, or operational processes is an advantage. 
  • Technical skills: Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and dashboard reporting tools (Power BI is an advantage); able to perform data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of quality tools, process improvement methodologies, or risk assessment is a plus. 
  • Soft skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, transversal collaboration, presentation, and communication skills.
