Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity to combine Project and Program Management and Controls knowledge and experience, working from Singapore with the scope to support our growing SEA market. Delivering multiple and at times concurrent projects, you will plan, monitor, and lead programs and projects from initiation through to completion, secure required resources, and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, issues, and changes.

The ideal candidate will be a value-centered individual and passionate about collaborating with internal and external partners. Working closely with the Project and Program lead, Cross-Functional teams, Site Supervisors and Engineers – we are looking for someone to bring their passion, enthusiasm, and energy to match strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The role is at Analyst level, so candidates at PM, Junior PM, Project Coordinator level are encouraged to apply for the role.

Data Center experience is not crucial but will be highly regarded, whilst an engineering (controls/electrical/mechanical) mentality, technical proficiency, and ability to handle and deliver multiple projects concurrently is a must. The projects will vary over time though a high proportion of these will focus on operational infrastructure upgrades as well as sustainability rollouts.

Key responsibilities:

Planning, Project/Program Delivery and Resource Management (people, finances etc.)

  • Develops project plan/task list using appropriate planning tools, across several functional teams working with information and direction obtained from more experienced colleagues on tasks and activities
  • Delivers CAPEX projects for our Operational site teams, and may support on cross functional projects including sustainability projects
  • Program management to ensure schedules of activities are based live site availability, and assess and identify project concerns which may require escalation

Stakeholder Management and Communications

  • Awareness of key stakeholders across all functional areas, and can map out key stakeholder list
  • With guidance able to identify the needs of stakeholders to keep them informed
  • Communicate with a broader group of stakeholders beyond the project team (D+C, Ops, Cross-Functional, Vendors, Customers)
  • The communication tools and templates used (i.e. emails, status reports) require approval and feedback from more senior colleagues

Risk Management

  • Captures a list of project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies for their project
  • May require support to manage risks effectively and collaboratively

Controls and Engineering

  • Showcase a good understanding of electrical and mechanical controls systems, instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automation and controls 
  • Implement control systems using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other automation technologies
  • Resolves standard issues independently (complex with manager assistance)
  • Utilize controls knowledge to work closely and advise on any controls related to technical requirements

Qualifications, Key Skills and attributes:

  • Project Management certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant experience, ideally with Controls knowledge
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset for accomplishing sophisticated goals
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of design documents, contracts, and technical information, with a high technical knowledge of computer software use (Microsoft applications & Email etc.)
  • Solid understanding of crucial tools, techniques and methods to complete assigned tasks
  • Proactive approach that can adapt easily to a changing environment and has excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and execution ability whilst working in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
