Project Manager


The application delivery manager is to work closely with application delivery lead and responsible to lead a team of developers, managing the system development, implementation and support of open systems applications.

Experience: 10 years
Job Mode: Full-time 
Work Mode: On-site

Responsibilities

Stakeholder and Communications Management

  • Manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Continually manage stakeholder expectations through governance processes
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
  • Provide status reporting regarding milestones, deliverable, dependencies, communicating across GTO and business leadership and stakeholders

Process and Delivery Execution

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Own the full project life cycle end to end (Hybrid between Waterfall and Agile)
  • Ensure the program is aligned to and supports strategic objectives
  • Prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities, including project management working and steering committees
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Spot potential problems, recognize the risk impact and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.

 

Essential:

  • Credit knowledge in retail banking business (10-20 years)
  • Proven track record of leading cross functional teams to successfully deliver complex IT system solutions while adhering to budget constraints and project timelines
  • Experience in leading RFP and ITC process preferably within and familiar with the process
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
  • A confident and self-aware leader with a high degree of independence
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies with focus on critical path deliverables
  • Lead the discussions at various forums (PWG, PWC, PSC)
    • Work with various stakeholders (e.g., Functional Business Analyst, Solution Architect, Tech Delivery managers, business users etc) to plan and manage the project budget, timeline and deliverables.
    • Pro-actively highlight risks and develop mitigation strategies
    • End to end responsibility for multiple projects in the region
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
    • Demonstrated 5 – 10 years of experience in project management, leading end-to-end implementation
    • Direct responsibility of project budgets of $10 - $20 million dollars
    • Executive level communication skills with excellent written and verbal communication
