Kardex Far East Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our Team in the role of Project Manager. This full-time position is to be based in Singapore and shall report to the Director New Business SE Asia.
As Project Manager, your role is to:
- Drive and execute realization processes and orchestrate all project delivery in Singapore.
- Improve the realization process to ensure Kardex can deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting customers’ expectation.
Kardex Remstar is part of Kardex Group, a global industry partner for intralogistics solutions and a leading supplier of automated storage solutions and material handling systems. We develop, produce and maintain dynamic storage and retrieval systems.

Your tasks

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Realisation Project Management

  • Manage Singapore realisation process.
  • Manage the internal & external resources, within the realisation department.
  • Lead and facilitate delivery of project with the support of independent vendors.
  • Keep the promised delivery time (EOI) of the project.
  • Protect and improve the project margin.
  • Find potential upselling during the project.
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction and improve Customer Satisfaction (CRI) according to global strategy targets.
  • Secure the projects are delivered in due time according to handover and on budget.
  • Plan and manage external and internal labour to ensure skill levels are suited to product and systems project execution.

Contract Administration

  • Keep process under control (e.g. payment terms).
  • Manage timing of all project stages.
  • Update documentation (back-office role for the project)
  • Identify variations and escalate, as required.
  • Manage legal claims and negotiations (with lawyer where necessary).

Claim Management

  • Be responsible for investigation and gather evidence through documentation.
  • Conduct negotiation and issue variation orders.
  • Update +/- list; gap analysis.
  • Be responsible for customer and 3rd party claims.

Quality/Health & Safety

  • Ensure agreed quality and health & safety standards are implemented and upheld.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Tertiary qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical/mechanical/electronic discipline, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with Project Management / Site Coordination.
  • Experience in interfacing with people from independent vendors.
  • Strong technical background, preferably with warehouse automation experience.
  • SAP/ERP knowledge is beneficial.
  • Detailed understanding of costing and project management processes.
  • Microsoft office suite knowledge including OneNote.
  • Basic CAD or Simulation experience, eg AutoCAD, Visual Components.
  • English – fluent (both spoken and written).
  • Travel within country – High (to project sites).

This role is only open to Singapore residents or those holding a relevant Visa giving right to live and work in Singapore.
