About the Job
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the Underwriting Digitalisation Journey. This role will be responsible for driving end‑to‑end project delivery, working closely with Project Managers, as well as stakeholders across Underwriting, Operations, and Technology teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong domain expertise in insurance and underwriting, hands‑on experience in delivering digital transformation initiatives, and the ability to leverage data to generate actionable insights. Familiarity with DXC’s Ingenium is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Underwriting Digitalisation Journey in alignment with program objectives.
- Drive project activities, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring timely and high‑quality outcomes.
- Maintain all core PM artefacts including:
- Project plans
- RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Project status updates and reports
- Governance documentation
- Facilitate governance forums, working groups, and steering committee updates
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Work closely with KH and MM Project Managers to ensure alignment across workstreams.
- Partner with Underwriting, Data, IT, and Operations stakeholders to deliver solution that enhances underwriting efficiency and quality.
- Ensure coordinated communication, managing expectations and resolving issues proactively.
- Data-Driven Insights & Transformation
- Collaborate with data teams to leverage data sources for insights that drive underwriting process improvements.
- Incorporate data‑informed decision‑making into project strategies, recommendations, and solution design.
- Leadership & Execution Excellence
- Independently drive underwriting-related projects with strong ownership and accountability.
- Operate in a highly collaborative manner while taking guidance from the Program Manager, Digital Transformation, to ensure alignment with transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and digital enablement across underwriting workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
- PMP certified
- Strong understanding of Life or General Insurance Underwriting, processes, and system landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead underwriting or insurance transformation projects end‑to‑end.
- Experience in using data and analytics to derive insights supporting decision-making and process enhancements.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with DXC’s Ingenium platform (policy administration system) is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and governance skills
