Project Manager (Data Centre)

Job Description Summary

We are hiring this role for an upcoming Data Centre Project in Singapore. You will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering electrical infrastructure projects within mission-critical data centre.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage full lifecycle of data centre project: new builds, expansions, upgrades, retrofits, and capacity enhancements.

  • Prepare project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocations.

  • Ensure electrical systems are integrated with mechanical, IT, and facility operations.

Electrical Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee installation and commissioning of various systems

  • Ensure electrical infrastructure meets data centre Tier requirements

Quality, Compliance & Testing

  • Ensure all electrical works meet international and local codes

  • Conduct site inspections and quality audits throughout construction phases.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Evaluate and manage electrical contractors, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, ensuring technical compliance and timely delivery.

  • Conduct coordination meetings and resolve technical/installation issues.

Risk, Safety & Operational Continuity

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure projects meet uptime, reliability, and business continuity requirements.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, consultants, operations teams, and leadership.

  • Provide regular progress updates, dashboards, and executive reports.

  • Coordinate with IT, networking, facilities, and security teams to align project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related fields

  • At least 5 years of project management experience in data centre mission-critical facilities, or heavy electrical environments.

  • Hands-on experience with high-voltage, low-voltage, and critical power systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
