Team Leadership & Development
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members to support their professional development.
- Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture through open communication, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a proactive approach in all project activities.
- Support onboarding and integration of new team members into project teams and workflows.
- Foster continuous improvement initiatives and encourage the sharing of best practices across projects.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are effectively achieved.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships through regular communication, follow-up, and stakeholder management.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and progress reviews to maintain alignment and visibility across all parties.
- Identify and address project challenges proactively, escalating risks or issues where appropriate.
- Act as a key point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end management of advanced manufacturing projects, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, schedule, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project master schedules and implementation plans.
- Coordinate equipment delivery schedules, manufacturing systems installations, utilities integration, and long-lead procurement activities.
- Monitor project milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation to support successful project delivery.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, permits, certifications, and regulatory approvals as required.
Manufacturing Facility & Site Coordination
- Oversee project execution activities for manufacturing facilities, production lines, cleanrooms, laboratories, automation systems, and supporting infrastructure where applicable.
- Coordinate closely with contractors, vendors, facility teams, and engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor site progress, quality standards, installation activities, and commissioning readiness.
- Ensure all project activities comply with workplace safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Support issue resolution and implement corrective actions to minimize project risks and delays.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage external consultants, engineering partners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Lead regular project progress meetings and communicate project status to key stakeholders.
- Maintain effective coordination among engineering, operations, facilities, procurement, and business teams.
- Support decision-making by providing timely and accurate project updates and recommendations.
Project Reporting
- Prepare detailed project reports covering schedule performance, cost tracking, risks, key decisions, and action items.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent project management systems.
- Conduct schedule reviews, critical path analysis, and progress tracking to identify potential risks and mitigation plans.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management and project stakeholders.
Procurement & Contract Management
- Manage procurement activities for consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and service providers.
- Develop scopes of work, evaluate proposals, and support contract negotiations.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal governance, policies, and project requirements.
- Support supplier onboarding and vendor performance management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement outcomes support project objectives and timelines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in advanced manufacturing, industrial facilities, semiconductors, electronics, pharmaceutical, automotive, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing manufacturing facility projects, production line installations, equipment implementation, or facility expansions.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Japanese language proficiency is required to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
