What will you do?
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee critical government systems in a highly regulated, operations-intensive environment. This role requires a balance of BAU operational support, change delivery, and project management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business users, technical teams, and vendors to ensure seamless daily operations while driving system improvements and delivering projects. Operational Support:
- Manage day-to-day operations of critical business systems, ensuring service stability and optimal performance.
- Provide oversight of vendor-led incident/problem management, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with service expectations.
- Validate root cause analyses and resolution proposals from vendors.
Release and Deployment Management:
- Coordinate releases and deployments with technical teams and vendors, managing delivery dependencies and timelines.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure vendors on deployment strategies and environment management.
- Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
- Work with vendors and stakeholders to review, validate, and confirm business and technical requirements.
- Manage vendors and delivery dependencies, ensuring alignment with business needs, technical standards, and operational constraints.
- Support contract management activities and monitor vendor performance.
Change Delivery and Documentation:
- Deliver enhancements and small projects within a live operational environment.
- Maintain clear documentation for delivery decisions, risks, and changes.
- Challenge and validate vendor technical solutions to ensure compliance with business needs, technical standards, and operational constraints.
Audit and Compliance:
- Ensure systems and processes comply with regulatory and governance standards.
- Collaborate with audit teams to address findings and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation and evidence to support audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years’ experience as a PM in the technology environments
- Experience supporting critical or high-availability systems
- Strong background in operations-heavy / BAU environments, with delivery focus and attention to details.
- Strong technical background – able to engage with engineers and understand system design
- Experience working with DevOps or release teams, with an understanding of DevOps concepts (CI/CD, release and environment management)
- Experience working in government or regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
- Experience working with audits on ICT audits.
- Experience managing hybrid BAU + project delivery
- Exposure to government contract management and procurement processes.
