Why this role?
Project controller is a key member of the project team and works directly with the Project Manager and to help achieve the targeted project's goals and objectives; create, update and monitor a project's forecast cost and milestones, analyse progress reported against the work schedules and highlight material variances; monitor and track the cash to cost of the project, progress claim and payment, update project billing milestones and arrange progressive invoicing; monitor the inventory held in Singapore and work with Business Controller on the rolling forecast and annual budget.
What will you be doing?
• Support Project Manager in project financial management, forecasting and reporting.
• Oversee, identify deviations in actual versus forecast/budgeted project cost, project milestone, project cash flow and discuss them with Project Manager for resolution.
• Maintain current and forecasted Cash Flow and track actual versus forecasted project Cash Flow to mitigate negative cash to cost.
• Supports Project Manager to ensure that the project forecast cost, milestone and billing plan in SAP are up-to-date at all time
• Monitor the inventory held in Singapore to ensure no excessive holding inventory
• Responsible for progressive invoicing, submission of invoice in a timely manner to the customer and monitor the on-time payment from the customer
• Monitor outdated project milestone in SAP and work with project manager to understand the reason for the deviation and update the milestone accordingly
• Responsible for monitoring actual costs versus forecast cost. For any outdated forecast cost, discuss and update the revised forecast cost in SAP for each equipment. Identify and highlight any equipment with risk of further forecast cost overrun to Project Manager for resolution to mitigate further overrun.
• Responsible to ensure that project cost is charged cost element, correct activity code and common cost allocation (eg. Design cost or cost of mock up lift) to each equipment is logical.
• Check invoices without PO and missing Goods receipts and work with respective stakeholder to resolve the issue.
• Responsible for administration of change orders / variation sales, including prepare sales order Form (TOF that contains equipment details, revenue and forecast cost) for Shared Service Center to create the sales order in SAP
• Monitor and maintain the S-plan schedule and forecast cost in the SAP to facilitate project progress monitoring, forecasting and budgeting.
• Monitors project gates and S-Plan accuracy and compliance from MS 2z to MS 5Z
• Responsible for providing info of competed units to book as completed sales in SAP as per KONE way to Finance and Maintenance team
• Collaborate with Business Controller on strengthening controlling for the project, rolling forecast, yearly budget and analyzing project cost and revenue variances etc
Are you the one?
- Diploma in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Project Controller, preferably within the Built Environment sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Familiar with project management tools and SAP
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
