Job Description Summary:

Based in Tuas, Singapore (2-ways transportation provided at selected MRT locations islandwide)

Contract Duration: 9-months

Please note: This position is only open to applicants who possess valid working rights in Singapore. All candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore at the time of application to be considered for this role.

The key focus of this role is on Project Management of new and reformulated products introduction into the commercial market place. The Product Portfolio Specialist manages all activities of dedicated projects to ensure timely launch to the market.

The scope includes but is not limited to new product launches / revised country of sale / reformulations / test pack / amendments to formula / changes to pack configuration / textual changes on labels / discontinuation / supply point shifts / outside supply business and business continuity programs. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities with internal parties (Customer Service/Manufacturing/QA/Process Monitoring/ Material Master/ Finance/ Procurement/ Planning)

  • Manufacturing: to confirm pack configuration complies with our manufacturing processes and review routing details.
  • Customer Service: to ensure timely entry of initial quantities required and forecast into our Planning system.
  • Quality: to obtain testing lead-time and approval for new ingredients and finished products. Request to validate standard manufacturing instructions (SMI), minimum batch sizes and routing data. Request confirmation of hazard classification and secure MSDS. Ensure all bills of materials are checked and approved on the Approved Formula Listing.
  • Procurement / Planning: to ensure new ingredients data is obtained, such as lead time, costs. Coordinate due dates for receiving and releasing products from first production. Ensure manufacturing capacity and capabilities are available. Follow up to ensure that new ingredients as well as new suppliers comply with Company’s Quality requirements.
  • Finance: provide relevant information for costing purposes, e.g. BOM (kit) using and maintaining cost template and process up to date. Request them to enter pricing information.
  • Customs: coordinate with custom’s team to enter commodity codes. Obtain lead-time for product registration and customs clearance.
  • Scientific Regulatory Affairs (SRA): Internally request sample labels and submit them for approval. Ensure approvals are in place within specified time frame. Ensure all SRA requirements are followed.

Activities with External Parties (Operating Unit, R&D, Formula Governance Atlanta)

  • Business units: Maintain close and constant communication with Operating Unit Commercialization Technical, Financial, and Legal to obtain all necessary information required for all dedicated projects. Follow up in order to receive this information within specified time frame. Provide them with launch specific information regarding ingredients lead time, manufacturing release procedures and lead time, suggested cut-over dates based on stocks, cost of goods, capacity issues, possible exposure in the event appropriate approvals are not received and/or ingredients or products are rejected, etc.
  • Research and development: Communicate and liaise with R&D through Clarity Process/ Share point.
  • Formula Governance Atlanta: Ensure Master Formula and Country of Sales (COSD) documents are issued/approved prior to manufacture and shipment. For exceptions, obtain Division’s financial commitment and/or Formula Governance agreement to manufacture and/or shipment prior to approval.
     

Provide financial support

  • Provide financial exposure information associated with the introduction of new product to the Operating Unit. It has to include actual stock depletion plans and exposures as well as destruction costs where applicable.
  • Obtain full visibility on costing.

QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge on Project Management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Microsoft software tools proficiency (Excel, MS Word, MS Project and Power Point)
  • SAP master data basic knowledge.
  • Knowledge on formula set-up and interpretation (BOMs, parts, ingredients, packaging, labelling).
