The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) plays a pivotal role in shaping OneOcean’s commercial success. This individual is the bridge between Product, Marketing, and Sales, responsible for deeply understanding the customer, market dynamics, and competitive landscape—and translating those insights into compelling value propositions, market strategies, and go-to-market plans.

This role is ideal for a strategic, commercially oriented marketer who brings an outside-in perspective, champions the voice of the customer, and excels at crafting and executing insight-led go-to-market strategies for a global product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Go-To-Market Strategy
- Own the strategy, planning, and execution of GTM activities for new product launches, feature enhancements, and commercial initiatives.
- Define segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies aligned to market opportunities and customer value.
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing to build integrated GTM plans that drive adoption, pipeline creation, and customer value realization.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure commercial teams are fully equipped with messaging, assets, and training.
Voice of the Customer & Market Insight
- Act as the champion for the customer—bringing structured insight on buyer needs, behaviors, and pain points into product and GTM decision-making.
- Develop and maintain customer personas, buying journeys, and use-case narratives.
- Influence product roadmaps by translating customer and market insights into requirements and opportunity assessments.\
Messaging, Positioning & Value Proposition Development
- Develop compelling, value-led product narratives grounded in customer outcomes and OneOcean’s mission.
- Create core messaging frameworks and ensure consistency across channels, regions, and product lines.
- Partner with Performance Marketing to bring this messaging to life in campaigns, sales materials, and digital experiences.
Commercial Collaboration
- Work hand-in-hand with commercial leaders to craft strategies that drive revenue—pricing, packaging, segmentation, and adoption plays.
- Analyze market performance, pipeline trends, and campaign effectiveness to shape future GTM strategies.
- Support key deals or strategic accounts with tailored value messaging, competitive positioning, and proposal input.
Internal Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the connective tissue between Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
- Influence and engage senior leaders across the business with clear storytelling, data-backed insights, and strong commercial acumen.
- Drive operational discipline around launch readiness, market insight sharing, and GTM process excellence.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of Product Marketing, Go-To-Market, or Commercial Strategy experience (B2B SaaS or technology preferred; maritime exposure required).
- Demonstrated success bringing products to market, including GTM planning, launch execution, and commercial alignment.
- Strong understanding of customer research, segmentation, competitive analysis, and market insight techniques.
- Exceptional storytelling and messaging skills; able to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, value-centric narratives.
- Experience supporting or partnering with global commercial teams.
- Strong analytical ability, using data and insight to inform strategic decisions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment undergoing transformation.
