Position Summary

This role is responsible for driving market share, revenue and profitability for the Digital Appliances business. It leads product line-up, lifecycle and pricing strategies to expand market coverage, maximise sales opportunities and minimise business risks, while coordinating cross-functional execution to achieve business targets.

Role and Responsibilities

Business and Growth Strategy
  • Develop and execute product and growth strategies to achieve sales, profitability, API and market-share targets.
  • Translate market insights and business priorities into action plans across products, channels and customer segments.
  • Identify new opportunities to strengthen competitiveness and market leadership.
Market-Share Management
  • Monitor market share, sell-out performance, competitor activities and consumer trends.
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend timely countermeasures to defend or grow market share.
  • Track results and refine action plans to improve effectiveness.
Line-up and Portfolio Management
  • Develop and manage the product portfolio to maximise market coverage, competitiveness and efficiency.
  • Manage product roadmaps and the full product life cycle.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify portfolio gaps and differentiation opportunities.
  • Liaise with HQ and RHQ on product requirements, market-specific features, allocation and support.
Launch and Go-to-Market Management
  • Lead product launches, including timelines, target volumes, pricing, profitability and channel plans.
  • Define the product proposition, target audience and communication priorities.
  • Partner Brand and Retail Marketing on campaigns, displays, launch readiness and in-store execution.
Cross-Functional Execution
  • Coordinate Sales, Marketing, Retail, Online, Supply Chain, Finance, Service and other relevant functions.
  • Establish clear priorities, ownership, timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage business reviews, resolve issues and ensure consistent execution across channels.
Pricing and Profitability Management
  • Develop pricing strategies by segment, model and channel.
  • Conduct regular pricing reviews and recommend responses to market changes.
  • Assess the profit-and-loss impact of pricing and promotional decisions.
Sales Forecasting and Supply Management
  • Work with Sales and Supply Chain teams to establish and review weekly forecasts.
  • Monitor stock availability, sell-in, sell-out, weeks of stock and ageing inventory.
  • Recommend corrective actions to support sales and inventory objectives.
End-of-Life Management
  • Establish product discontinuation timelines and transition plans.
  • Manage inventory clearance to minimise ageing and obsolete stock.
  • Ensure smooth model transitions and continued market coverage.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business/Marketing with 6-8 years working experience in relevant field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, sharp-minded and solution-oriented.
  • Positive, resilient and willing to take on challenges.
  • Committed, accountable and able to work independently.
  • Strong ability to prioritise, multitask and meet timelines.
