The position is required to lead, and drive Switchgear business in Asia , with a clear focus of upstream Switchboard solution for the critical infrastructure in Asia Region. The position is to establish Vertiv a leader as AC Power distribution solution provider in Data Center space. The position requires to develop Asia technical capability and Vertiv expertise in the space and develop the business. At the initial stage, the position requires coordination with factories and engineering to support presales to post-sales support to customer and be the SME. The position will create a compelling strategy to grow Swicthboard business 3x in the region in 3 years
 

Responsibilities:

  • The responsibility includes supporting customers and the sales team in pre-sales application engineering support with help of factory  
  • Work Closely with consultants and customers to hard spec Vertiv to differentiate ourselves from competition
  • The role is to develop Application engineering, proposal building team and post sales project management support capability in the region.
  • The responsibility includes understanding of market size, have market studies, collecting Voice of Customers, market requirements, and work with engineering to develop winning product and solutions.
  • The role includes enabling sales team so that the team can effectively pitch to the client
  • Create Competitive strategy and position our products in the market.
  • Support technical queries and work with vendors/partners to provide full solutions to customer.
  • Help sales team to technically present to customer
  • The role requires to create and develop the organization within the matrix structure that is best suited to grow the business
  • The role requires review the funnel with sales and present switchboard products to manufacturing entity.
  • The role is responsible to identify product gap, decide product strategy, Launch new products, drive demand with help if sales org and marketing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering, preferably with experience of working in data centre/critical infrastructure field 
  • Minimum 10 years’ or more experience in electrical power distribution market in SEA/NA and/or ANZ
  • Preferably knowledgeable in Swicthboard industry and power distribution product for more than 7 years
  • In-depth knowledge of standards in electrical power distribution field
  • In-depth knowledge of our competitors’ landscape, Standards and design practices, emerging technologies in Asia market, 
  • Knowledge of Data Center applications in power system design and architecture
  • Technical presentation skills and skilled in customer and consultant interaction
  • People management capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with peers to work in matrix organization  
  • Good planning capability
  • Good written, oral communication and presentation skills, with experience working with people across multi-cultural environment. 
  • Self-motivated and work on own initiative; good team player
  • Action- and results-orientated with a passion for success 
  • Learning agility and the ability to stay abreast of trends and strategic landscape.
  • Display strong communication and teamwork attributes working with all internal and external stakeholders
