A Snapshot
As Senior Product Development Manager based in our HQ in Singapore, you will report to the Director, Product Development OSE and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Drive the strategic direction for the product development of Owner Supplied Equipment (OSE) in alignment with key business goals.
- Examine existing, investigate new and developing technologies and drive product innovation across the company with a particular focus on clean energy technologies and energy storage systems.
- Research and explore the addition of new products to the OSE categories and collaborate with the master planning and design teams to future-proof AirTrunk’s product offering, to fulfil customer requirements in a functional and innovative way.
Your Day to Day
- Manage and expand a team to deliver critical initiatives & support project delivery efforts.
- Manage the processes, reporting and documentation repository related with the technical specification, approval, procurement, commissioning and continuous improvement of the OSE products, ensuring alignment and collaboration with internal teams.
- Initiating new product development investigations, organising regular meetings with vendors, visiting sites and manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure quality assurance and design checks are undertaken on new products and applications.
- Produce vendor briefs in order to develop designs from feasibility stage through concept, scheme and detailed design stages, ensuring continuity of design.
- Engage with customers on their technical solutions as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical (or similar) engineering degree preferred.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills to explore data and to develop engineering solutions.
- 8+ years experience within infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing or Data Centre design and operations, with experience in prefabrication or modular construction.
- Experience in the energy generation, distribution and/or storage industries is an advantage.
- Willing to make decisions and be accountable for them.
- Ability to drive technical, logistical and economic implications of equipment procurement: CAPEX and OPEX.
- Coordinate and manage external suppliers to ensure they provide the technical solutions to meet our requirements in a fast paced industry.
- Experience in multiple APAC countries is desirable and the successful candidate is open to understanding new markets and learning local codes and regulations as needed.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong cognitive skills and problem solving skills.
- Highly driven and motivated.
- Willing and able to travel across APAC and other regions when needed.
