Job Description: Product Designer II

We are seeking a Product Designer with a high appetite for learning and innovation. As a Product Designer, you will hone design with user-centricity, increase executional bandwidth (speed & quality) and uplift standards of the working team. You will combine elements of design, user experience (UX) research, and attain a deep understanding of financial technology to create innovative and user-friendly solutions. You will:

  • Take ownership over design and improvement of features and functionalities across our B2B and B2C products.
  • Bridge UX and UI through leveraging sound design principles and user research to create concepts, journey maps, and flows, coupled with a high degree of comfort in producing high fidelity prototypes and designs.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of designers, product managers, and developers.
  • Conduct user research using a variety of qualitative methods including surveys, interviews and usability testing.
  • Effectively communicate research findings, design proposals and rationale to teammates and stakeholders.
  • Translate research findings into actionable, delightful solutions for complex design problems.
  • Push the standards of our work and products: Be it in usability, functionality, delight, or aesthetics. 

You are:

  • A curious thinker and maker who looks beyond the immediate task – relentlessly pushing boundaries to design best-in-class experiences.
  • You take pride in your work and know what it takes to elevate products from functional to truly delightful.
  • You are excited wearing multiple hats: One day you’ll map out travel behaviors – and the next you might prototype the future of B2B transactions.
  • You are open to feedback and know how and when to defend your design choices.
  • You know it’s worth paying extra attention to details – from interaction design to UX writing.

You have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in product design, with strong hands-on expertise in craft and UX research
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with an outstanding online portfolio.
  • Experience in 0-1 projects (concept-to-launch) for B2B and/or B2C, keen interest in behavioral psychology
  • > 2 years experiences working with highly complexed products that’s gone through production or launched to markets
  • Have designed for and optimized large mobile or web apps – used and loved by their users
  • Outstanding ability to empathize with users and gain actionable insight through UX research 
  • Eagerness to learn and constantly improve your craft, passionate to share your knowledge 
  • Figma Ninja and proficiency in prototyping (Figma Prototyping/Protopie)
  • Bonus: Knack for interaction/motion design (e.g. AfterEffects/Lottie, Framer, Protopie, etc)
