As a Guru You Will Be Accountable For
  • Support the implementation and evolution of our visual language through HIVE, our design system, including typography, color, iconography, and components. Assist in creating and managing tools, resources, and documentation to support product designers.
  • Collaborate with senior design team members to identify opportunities for new patterns and components within work-streams. Help maintain consistency across shared design patterns.
  • Contribute to end-to-end audits of the user interface, helping resolve discrepancies and advancing the visual design system across multiple geographies, business units, and channels (Mobile App, Mobile Web, and Desktop).
  • Assist in maintaining Figma libraries and component documentation to empower product designers with respect to user interface design. Ensure design assets are organized and accessible.
  • Work closely with front-end engineers to support the design system's implementation in code. Learn and practice effective design-to-development handoff processes.
  • Support presentations of the design system's mission, library, and process to various groups, including product managers, content specialists, QA, brand, and other design and development teams throughout the organization.
  • Help implement accessibility and inclusion standards in both the design and development process, ensuring our products are usable by everyone.
  • Collaborate with team members to drive system improvements and contribute to team growth and culture in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
     
We're Looking For Someone Who
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital design, with at least 2 year working with or contributing to design systems. A portfolio that demonstrates your understanding of systematic design thinking and component creation.
  • Growing experience with design systems concepts and tools, including familiarity with atomic design patterns, design tokens, and governance models. Eagerness to deepen this knowledge.
  • A strong foundation in visual design craft and enthusiasm for helping team members improve their visual and interaction execution.
  • An eye for identifying patterns and inconsistencies across projects, with developing skills to solve these systematically.
  • Good understanding of UI conventions and challenges for responsive web design and native mobile platforms, with interest in learning UI optimisation for performance across various devices.
  • Understanding of how to create usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale across multiple geographies and languages (mainly in Southeast Asia).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in design tools including Figma, with willingness to learn new tools and processes as needed.
