The Product Designer will drive the design process for derivatives and event contract products, focusing on user experience in trading through research, collaboration, and high-fidelity UI design.
About Our Mission:
We are building a transformative platform that bridges traditional finance and cryptocurrency, seeking a versatile Product Designer who can create exceptional digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Product Designer with 6-8 years of experience who will be instrumental in designing, scaling, and improving our product ecosystem. This is not a role tied to a specific product line but requires a designer with a strong product sense across financial technology domains, particularly derivatives and event contracts. You will shape intuitive trading experiences that empower users to confidently navigate complex financial instruments
This role is not for someone who is casually interested in crypto. We need a designer who lives and breathes the space, can articulate the nuances of market cycles, and understands how traders make decisions in volatile environments. You should be able to discuss not only high-level theoretical concepts but also demonstrate an ability to assess projects, narratives, and the broader financial landscape in a meaningful way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Think of this role as more than just pushing pixels. We're looking for a design partner who sees every interface as a complex puzzle waiting to be elegantly solved. You'll be:
- Owning the end-to-end design process for derivatives and event contract products, from research and ideation to high-fidelity UI design and production.
- Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and quantitative analysts to translate market needs into intuitive and effective trading interfaces.
- Dismantling complex financial product challenges, then reconstructing them into experiences so intuitive they seem almost invisible.
- Challenging existing design paradigms with insightful questions that reveal deeper user needs.
- Navigating the intricate landscape between traditional finance and emerging crypto platforms, translating complexity into clarity.
- Conducting user research with active traders to refine product experiences and optimize usability.
- Iterating quickly on feedback and data insights to drive continuous improvements in our trading platform.
Specific Skills Required:
- Domain Knowledge
- Deep understanding of derivatives trading, including options, futures, swaps, and structured financial products.
- Strong grasp of market mechanics, trading strategies, and the needs of active traders.
- Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) and crypto-based derivatives platforms.
- Experience designing for real-time data-heavy interfaces, including order books, charting tools, and risk management dashboards.
- Awareness of key regulatory considerations affecting derivatives markets and their impact on user experience.
- Design
- Proven mastery of the end-to-end product design process, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and design systems.
- Expert proficiency in Figma for interface design, prototyping, and maintaining design systems.
- Strong experience with responsive web design principles and mobile-first approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain comprehensive design systems and component libraries.
- Proficiency in designing data-heavy interfaces and complex financial workflows.
- Research
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
- Proficiency with user testing tools like UserTesting, Maze, or similar platforms.
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and analyzing test results.
Ideal Candidate
- You are someone who:
- Doesn't just ask "how" something should be designed, but persistently explores "why" it matters.
- Possesses an almost forensic approach to understanding user behavior - using curiosity as your primary investigative tool.
- Has deep domain knowledge of derivatives and structured financial products, including options, futures, and swaps, and their applications in trading strategies.
- Has hands-on trading experience – You’ve traded financial instruments yourself and understand what traders need to make informed decisions.
- Views ambiguity not as a barrier but as an invitation to deeper understanding.
- Build relationships with the same meticulous care you apply to your design craft.
Your intellectual toolkit goes beyond technical skills
- A master of the strategic question - able to unpack complex problems through thoughtful, precise inquiry.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, including your own.
- Skilled at creating alignment not through dictation but through collaborative exploration.
- Driven by a genuine passion for solving meaningful problems, not just completing tasks.
- Your portfolio doesn't just showcase designs. It tells a story of systematic problem-solving, of turning user friction into moments of unexpected delight.
