The Product Consultant role entails developing sales strategies, providing clinical support for IOLs, managing KOL engagement, planning marketing workshops, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective collaboration.
Sales
- Develop an effective action plan to achieve the annual budget for sales territories.
- Develop creative sales proposals to maximise sales potential for sales accounts.
- Sales conversion of competitors’ users to Zeiss IOLs and equipment
- Groom and develop junior surgeons to become Zeiss users.
Clinical Application
- Provide clinical application support on pre & post sales of IOLs, as well as for Phaco
- Perform IOL calculations for IOL users.
- Work with surgeons from patient selection, biometry and IOL selection to achieve good patient outcomes.
- Provide effective case support in operation threatre for surgeons to ensure smooth application during surgeries.
- Follow up on post-surgical patient outcomes and address any issues that may arise
KOL Management
- Identify potential KOLs based on product focus.
- Working with internal stakeholders (Sales Manager, Product Managers, Professional Education Managers) on engagement plans for KOLs.
Marketing
- Plan and coordinate workshop/talk for continuous education for users.
- Liaise effectively with team members and support staff for quality demonstrations and workshops.
Education
- University degree in Optometry, Business Administration, Marketing or any related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales / Business Development in the medical device consumables industry, preferably in IOLs and/or Phaco
- Good to have biometry knowledge
- Experienced in supporting surgery cases in Operating Theatres
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
