What you will be responsible for:
  • Own the end-to-end procurement and management of global insurance coverage for data center assets, including property/all-risk, business interruption, cargo & transit, liability and cyber insurance.
  • Design and execute supply chain and trade finance solutions for server, GPU and other hardware procurement, including leasing, factoring and structured financing arrangements with banks and financing partners.
  • Build and manage senior relationships with insurance brokers, underwriters, banks, leasing companies and other financial institutions to secure competitive premiums, coverage terms and financing rates.
  • Lead RFP and tender processes for insurance programmes and financing facilities, including requirements definition, commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract execution.
  • Establish and maintain procurement frameworks, governance policies, approval workflows, vendor panels and risk controls for insurance and financing categories.
  • Monitor insurance, trade finance and financing market developments to identify cost-saving, risk-mitigation and financing opportunities.
  • Coordinate insurance claims with brokers and insurers in the event of asset loss, damage or other covered incidents.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Risk and Data Center Operations teams to align insurance coverage and financing structures with business requirements, risk appetite and asset deployment plans.
  • Prepare regular management reporting on insurance coverage, premium expenditure, financing utilization, vendor performance and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual and internal requirements across jurisdictions for insurance procurement and financing activities.

How you will stand out:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Business or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACII, CPCU or equivalent are a plus.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in commercial/corporate insurance procurement, risk financing, supply chain finance or trade finance, ideally within technology, data center, manufacturing, infrastructure or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including property/all-risk, business interruption, cargo, liability and cyber insurance, as well as underwriting processes for high-value assets.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and trade finance solutions, such as equipment leasing, inventory or receivables financing, letters of credit and structured financing.
  • Established relationships with insurance brokers, underwriters, banks and financing institutions in Asia, particularly Singapore, and/or globally is a strong advantage.
  • Experience developing procurement frameworks, vendor panels, governance policies and risk controls for insurance, financing or other financial services categories.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to independently manage multi-million-dollar insurance premiums and financing facilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Legal, Risk and Data Center Operations teams.
  • Experience or knowledge of data centers, cloud infrastructure, AI computing or other technology infrastructure is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
