Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), established in 2017 and based out of Singapore, operates as a subsidiary of the Telenor Group.  We deliver Global Category Management as a service to the Telenor Business Units and beyond, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end Sourcing process and performance of global spend categories. Functioning as one Global Procurement team across all Telenor markets, we enable Telenor’s strategic ambitions by becoming a centre of expertise in the pursuit of efficient operations. TPC seeks qualified procurement professionals that are comfortable working in a global setup in the fast-paced Telecom field.

About the Role

The Graduate Programme will give the opportunity to fresh graduates an immersive experience in Category Management within the dynamic telco industry. You'll be part of the Strategic Category teams, gaining hands-on exposure with end-to-end category management execution such as sourcing process execution, contract negotiations and supplier management process, which will provide you with an overall understanding of Procurement Management.

Throughout the 2-year programme, you will rotate across various categories, providing you with a holistic view of category management and you will be reporting to each Head of Category. Along the Graduate Programme journey, you will be coached by a Development Manager who will follow your progress and ensure smooth learning and growth in the organisation.

Main Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Understand the foundations of category management through a full onboarding and immersion procurement activities;
  • Support the category teams in key procurement projects with hands on experience across different areas and categories including interactions with internal and external stakeholders, team members, suppliers, customers, etc;
  • Participate in sourcing process, including tendering and request for proposal, collaborating with cross-functional teams;
  • Collect data and conduct analysis using digital tools to provide insights to support decisions in category projects and updates to management;
  • Support negotiations in building cost benchmarks, savings targets, and tracking project progress;
  • Prepare periodic reports for presentation to management;
  • Ensure compliance with category processes.

Education and Experience

  • University degree within Finance, Business Management, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Arts and Social Science, or equivalent
  • Demonstrable project management skills.  Past internship or part-time job experience with exposure to project management as leading or supporting role will be an advantage.
