Responsibilities:

  • Continuous process technological optimization, development and planning of processes and plants in close collaboration with R&D and production

  • Execution of smaller investment & optimization projects in Evonik`s existing production plants in Asia Pacific South

  • Contribution in the optimization of existing production processes as part of continuous process development

  • Leading of process development projects with interdisciplinary teams

  • Development of innovative process technological concepts and methods for the production of specialty chemicals

  • Responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of experiments in the laboratory, pilot plant or production environment

  • Close cooperation with operational divisions, internal and external R&D organizations as well as equipment and plant manufacturers

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor or above degree in the field of process technology, chemical engineering or similar natural sciences

  • Ideally over 5 years of experience in the petrochemical/specialty chemical industries. Working experience on Jurong Island is a plus

  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (German is a plus)

  • Committed and loyal team member, which represents high self-motivation, flexibility and creativity

  • Interest in being part of a global expert group

  • Willingness for international business travel
