We’re looking for a Process Engineer to join the Spectacles team at Snap Inc!

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure stable, robust, repeatable, sustainable and high yielding manufacturing processes within the assigned process area

  • Develop new processes to achieve the goals of the technology roadmap or to improve operational performance such as yield, reduce operating costs or increase efficiencies

  • Be the primary owner of  multiple processes, with expert end-to-end understanding and ownership of all functional and cross-functional relationships

  • Collect and review data, implementing corrective action as  required for process and equipment stability

  • Identify, resolve and root cause issues at the process area level through the use of Six Sigma tools such as process mapping, cause & effect, FMEA and 8D’s

  • Identify, select and qualify new capital equipment or upgrades as needed to meet the requirements of the developing processes or demand

  • Transfer processes and products from the development phase to production release and ensure they are completed successfully and on schedule 

  • Maintain accuracy of technical documentation: specifications, work instructions and control plans, etc.

  • Create and own new process developments and product introductions, managing them from initial concept through to production

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Technical understanding of semiconductor processing equipment, especially how the hardware contributes to process performance

  • Knowledge of and experience in improving or developing new processes through use of DOE’s and statistical process controls

  • Process engineering knowledge in one or more of metals or oxide deposition, etch or photolithography

  • Knowledge of choosing appropriate replacements for obsolete parts for immediate equipment repair or in a spares stocking strategy

  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability with an appreciation of both practical and theoretical methodologies

  • Experienced in the selection, commissioning and process set-up of capital equipment

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting guides, OCAPs, working documentation, safety

  • Knowledge of quality systems and reliability assessment

  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and statistical software

  • Exhibit good and open communication skills; be able to work within cross-functional teams, including internal and external partners

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials or Physical Sciences

  • 7+ years of experience working in a semiconductor, process engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience working in a semiconductor, process engineering environment

  • Liquid Crystal or related display experience

  • Establishing and managing project based activities, defining and meeting deadlines 

  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$284,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $181,000-$270,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $162,000-$241,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
