Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Asia Private Bank communications team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with global teams to protect and promote our reputation as a leading bank in the region.
As a Private Bank Communications, Senior Associate within the Global Communications team at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Hong Kong, you will play a vital role in enhancing the firm's visibility, safeguarding and enhancing its corporate reputation, and advancing its business priorities, whilst supporting strategic and tactical media relations across the region. You will work closely with the global communications team and our business partners in Hong Kong and Singapore, covering markets across North Asia and Southeast Asia. Your role is essential in protecting and promoting our long-standing reputation as the leading bank globally. You will report to the Asia Private Bank Head of Communications.
Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Arrange and facilitate media interviews for the Asia Private Bank's offices and spokespeople
  • Manage media relations and provide external communications support
  • Achieve visibility in trade, local publications, and top-tier mainstream media
  • Create content for earned media, draft press releases, and proactive pitches
  • Coordinate and support media events, roundtables, and press conferences
  • Coach spokespeople to effectively communicate with the press
  • Collaborate with colleagues across functions and regions on global projects
  • Manage and develop relationships with financial media reporters
  • Build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of media relations experience
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to proactively pursue and achieve press activity
  • Experience in all aspects of PR, from strategy creation to execution
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective relationships with global, regional, and local financial media
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with an excellent work ethic
  • Collaborative team player in a small but industrious in-house team
  • Excellent English and Chinese language skills - verbal and written


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Media relations experience at a leading financial institution or top-tier public relations agency
  • Understanding of financial markets and wealth management
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
