We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Lending to join our leadership team. This is a critical regional role reporting directly to the Regional Head of Product in Lending and spanning key markets in Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia. You will be instrumental in defining and executing our lending strategy across multiple countries, ensuring our products are localized yet scalable.
Get to know the Role:
As the Principal Product Manager - Lending, you will own the regional lending product strategy in Retail and MSME and execution for the GXS Group banks. Your primary focus will be scaling our lending portfolio, driving innovation, and maximizing impact across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and Execute Regional Strategy: Develop and own the end-to-end lending product strategy and roadmap across multiple markets (Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia). Ensure alignment with the overall regional business objectives and local market regulations.
Drive Product Innovation and Adoption: Identify high-impact opportunities for new lending products and features. Strategically integrate these products within the ecosystem and partner platforms to maximize adoption and seamless user experience.
Regional Leadership and Execution: Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, designers, and data analysts across different geographies. Drive execution through agile methodologies, ensuring timely and effective delivery of high-quality products.
Stakeholder Management and Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with senior leadership, country teams, and external partners (including credit bureaus and vendors). Navigate complex stakeholder dynamics to build robust, scalable lending workflows.
Market and User Insight: Leverage quantitative and qualitative data—including A/B testing, user research, and market analysis—to inform product decisions, identify customer pain points, and continuously iterate on product offerings.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with regional and local marketing, operations, and business development teams to define and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new lending products.
Define and Monitor KPIs: Establish clear success metrics (KPIs) for the lending portfolio across all markets and consistently measure the impact of your work to inform future strategic decisions.
The must haves:
Experience: 12+ years of experience in product management, with significant leadership experience in the technology, fintech, or financial services sector.
Lending Expertise: Extensive experience in developing, launching, and scaling lending products, ideally across multiple markets in a regional or global capacity.
Regional Acumen: Demonstrated success in navigating diverse regulatory environments and market dynamics across Southeast Asia or similar emerging markets.
Leadership and Influence: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing product teams. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and gain trust from executives and external partners.
Strategic and Analytical Mindset: A strong blend of strategic thinking and a data-driven approach. You can analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and translate vision into actionable roadmaps.
Execution Mindset: An owner’s mentality with a demonstrable track record of launching impactful products from ideation to execution. Experience in a high-growth or startup environment is a plus.
Education: A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business, finance, economics, or a related field.
Agile Proficiency: Deep understanding and experience leading teams using agile methodologies.
