Role Overview:

This role is required to support the continued growth and complexity of the CRM business, including increased product launches, field support needs, and cross-functional coordination.
As the CRM portfolio expands and clinical, regulatory, and training requirements become more complex, additional dedicated resources are necessary to ensure execution excellence, customer support, and compliance while sustaining business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

The Principal Marketing Specialist is expected to coordinate and support all aspects of marketing and sales efforts by actively collaborating with marketing and sales staff within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) business in Malaysia and Singapore.
 

This role is responsible for leading strategic planning and execution to drive business growth within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) therapy portfolio, plays a key role in shaping market strategy, leading new product launches, and ensuring effective commercial execution. It requires close collaboration with the Sales team as well as cross-functional teams, including QRA, SCM, Finance, and
Training & Education, and strong communication skills to align diverse stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you must have good business acumen in selling and/or promoting medical devices and have a passion to initiate a marketing program. You’ll work in collaboration with key stakeholders to create synergy and contribute to reinforcing inclusive working culture.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities.

  • Interacts directly with internal stakeholders to identify new marketing opportunities.

  • Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.

  • Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to market place.

  • Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.

  • Acting as liaison with information technology in identifying and resolving problems

  • Regularly review and monitor backorders to identify and analyze business impact by communication with sales team

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to understand the reasons for backorders and release plan and update with sales team

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Completed bachelor’s degree qualifications

  • Min 7 years of demonstrated marketing and /or sales experience in the medical devices or healthcare industry

  • Strong and on-time execution focusses with stakeholders including Sales teams in a dynamic environment with an ability to be agile

  • Good presentation and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Computer and MS Office proficiency

  • Industry experience is highly regarded (Medical Devices or Healthcare)

  • Experience/exposure in cardiovascular medical devices (Pacemakers, Interventional cardiology products) is highly preferred
