OUR STORY
Let’s be honest: there are lots of people out there doing what we do. We’re just not convinced they’re doing it right. Businesses are hungry for innovation and opportunity, but not at the cost of their independence. At Ollion, we’ve connected companies and capabilities around the world to help ambitious organizations make the most of their transformation and leave the status quo in the dust.
WORKING AT OLLION
Innovation is risky. It demands bold steps and big questions, but that’s the price of making change. We’ve got our head in the cloud and two feet on the ground, channeling tech’s endless potential towards a single goal: making a world of difference. And we’re building a global team to do just that— a team capable of making game-changing breakthroughs without ever losing sight of the people it will impact. This is more than consulting. This is the change you can be.
THE OLLION DIFFERENCE
At Ollion, we’re all in on your independence. Our teams are seasoned. Our solutions are straightforward—sometimes even groundbreaking. And our engagements? Exactly as long as you want them to be. We deliver fresh thinking and hard-earned insight in a way that works for you and your customers, arming your organization with everything you need to make your transformation truly mean something.
WORKING WITH OLLION (our clients’ experiences)
Progress matters more than process. Our global team of cloud-native pros is all about creating new and better ways to work—not just by solving your tech challenges, but by using technology to solve your business challenges. We keep the formulas, frameworks, and ten-point plans to a minimum, tackling your most pressing problems with a proprietary mix of good-old-fashioned ingenuity and refreshing humanity.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Principal Consultant to lead one of our most strategic cloud transformation engagements in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that bridges the gap between Strategic Advisory, Commercial Ownership, and Technical Delivery.
In this role, you will act as the Engagement Lead for a major enterprise AWS Landing Zone and Application Migration initiative. You will sit on the client side, representing our business, while directing a global delivery team of Cloud Architects, offshore DevOps engineers, and project coordinators. You are not just overseeing delivery; you are the Strategic Lead responsible for the engagement's commercial health, architectural direction, and roadmap evolution.
We need a leader who can walk into a boardroom to discuss Application Strategy and Migration Approach with the senior client executives, and then immediately sit with the engineering and architecture team to review cloud workload sequencing, risk registers, and technical debt.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Advisory & Commercial Scoping
You are the primary commercial and strategic authority for the account. You ensure the client's cloud journey is roadmap-driven and commercially viable for Ollion.
Solution Scoping & Margin Ownership: Drive the commercial success of the engagement by actively scoping, pricing, and structuring new Statements of Work (SOWs) for the Application Migration portfolio, targeting an As-Sold Gross Margin of >50%.
Application Health Advisory: Own the strategic roadmap for the client's application portfolio. Act as the trusted technical advisor on application modernization and cloud readiness.
Go-To-Market (GTM) Development: Harvest intellectual property, methodologies, and collateral from the active engagement to develop repeatable GTM offerings (e.g., "Application Readiness Assessment" frameworks).
2. Delivery Excellence & Operations
Delivery Hygiene & Governance: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex cloud migrations. You will delegate day-to-day administrative project management (Jira grooming, timesheets) to an offshore Project Coordinator, allowing you to focus on high-value delivery oversight.
Enterprise Risk Management: Proactively anticipate enterprise-level delivery risks, navigating complex corporate governance, financial services regulations, and multi-stakeholder approval processes.
Architectural Feedback Loops: Create a formal feedback loop between the delivery team and the Lead Cloud Architects to ensure that legacy technical debt is addressed before migration execution.
3. Consulting Leadership
Executive Alignment: You will articulate how technical migration improvements translate into business value (e.g., reduced infrastructure costs, higher application resilience) to senior client executives.
Engagement Leadership: You will lead the distributed delivery model. You are responsible for overarching sprint planning, resource allocation, and ensuring the global delivery team is aligned with the client’s strategic priorities.
Team Capability Building: You will mentor the offshore engineering team and junior PMs, closing skills gaps to elevate them from "task execution" to "delivery excellence".
Experience
Total Professional Experience: 12+ Years in Technology Consulting, Cloud Architecture, or Technical Program Management.
Specialist Experience: 8+ Years specifically designing, managing, or migrating large-scale AWS Cloud environments and enterprise applications.
Platform Expertise: 5+ Years of deep experience with AWS Landing Zones, infrastructure modernization, and application migration methodologies.
Consulting Leadership: 4+ Years in a client-facing commercial or advisory role, leading squads or "pods" to deliver outcome-based solutions and managing high-margin project budgets.
Consulting Profile:
Executive Presence: You can explain complex cloud migration blockers to a CIO or MD in terms of "Business Risk" and "Delivery Impact."
Ownership: You view yourself as the owner of the outcome and the commercial success of the account. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning complex enterprise requirements into scoped, profitable SOWs.
Engineering Profile:
Cloud Expert: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) is highly preferred. You must understand cloud architecture principles, not just project management frameworks.
Continuous Upskilling: A proven track record of maintaining a sharp edge on emerging technologies, with an expectation to continually achieve new certifications (specifically in AI and advanced Cloud disciplines).
Delivery Frameworks: Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery, enterprise PM frameworks, and resource management across mixed onshore/offshore teams.
Key Success Measures
Commercial Expansion: Successful scoping and client sign-off on the subsequent Application Portfolio Migration SOWs, achieving target gross margins.
Delivery Stability: Successful migration of pilot workloads from legacy environments to the new AWS Landing Zone on time and within budget.
Practice Contribution: Successful harvesting of engagement methodologies to support the creation of at least one new Ollion GTM offering.
