Introduction: The incumbent will be part of the material management team and will represent the company in interfacing with external logistics partners to drive Logistics Supply Chain strategies.
Your job:
To interface to external logistics supplier for negotiation of improved transit time. pricing, and delivery quality.
Drive the analysis and negotiation of product cost and constantly improve cost of ownership (negotiations, splits, cost reductions).
Working with logistics suppliers and/or fab ops to identify and drive cost saving initiatives etc. to meet the overall Supply Chain cost saving targets.
Develop, manage and implement key projects to achieve strategic initiatives
Good understanding of industry trends and market intelligence
Maintaining the standard logistics process flow and ensuring that all logistics process adhere to compliance policy.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal customer.
Manage appropriate escalations as necessary
Prepare and process project plan in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions
Assume responsibility and oversee large and complex logistics processes.
Participate and joint effort with our Global Supply Management team to measure supplier performance and manage supplier development – ranking and scoring, continuous improvement, and adherence to Company's requirements.
Manage supplier performance to meet or exceed Company's Quality, Cost and Delivery requirements
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in engineering, operations research, finance or other technical fields plus 5-7 years manufacturing experience.
Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain / Logistics experience for project base.
Excellent communication skills (presentation, written, verbal) of both technical and non-technical issues.
Good knowledge of Logistics management, commodity industry knowledge.
Good business strategy knowledge and implementation knowledge; capable of influencing internal decision makers to make decisions aligned with strategies
