Requirements

Pre-Sales Solution Engineer (or Solutions Architect) acts as the technical bridge between sales teams and prospective clients, ensuring that a software product’s technical capabilities align with the customer’s business needs. While titles vary by company, these roles center on designing, demonstrating, and validating technical solutions before a contract is signed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales & Technical Consultation (Sales Team Support):
    • Partner with the Sales team to provide technical consultation, conduct product demonstrations, and manage the Proof of Concept (POC) execution process.
    • Assist in Sales Enablement by supporting the creation of technical assets and ensuring Sales has access to official product documentation.
    • Address technical queries regarding product compatibility with legacy platforms and modern systems.
  • Technical Definition & Infrastructure Planning (PM Team Collaboration):
    • Collaborate with Product Management to draft technical documentation and participate in Technical Definition sessions involving SDK/API tools and hardware planning.
    • Utilize tools like Eraser.io for Vetting and Validation of application communication and process flows.
    • Work with PM to manage Fixed BOM (Bill of Materials) solutions, ensuring component consistency for long-term industrial deployments.
  • Implementation & Professional Services:
    • Lead the Implementation and Services phase, providing onsite premises / online support and technical diagnosis for complex system setups.
    • Manage hardware/software integration during mass production phases to ensure quality assurance and final prototype release.
    • Capable in executing deployment with partners or end clients technical team.
  • Lifecycle Management & After-Sales Support:
    • Provide Level 3 Technical Support (when necessary), performing deep technical diagnosis and code-level fixes to resolve high-level infrastructure issues.
    • Monitor the health of the infrastructure using S.M.A.R.T. tools and managing RMA and Logistics for hardware replacements.
    • Maintain the X-PHY Guard and X-PHY Connect ecosystems, ensuring firmware and software updates are correctly deployed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Expertise: knowledge of Industrial NAND Flash (PCIe, SATA III, PATA, eMMC) and their respective industrial standards.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of software and hardware-level security, including encryption algorithms, firmware based protection.
  • System Environments: Proficiency in Windows 10/11 environments; familiarity with Android/iOS for mobile security application management is a plus.
  • Analytical Tools: Experience with technical planning tools such as Eraser, Figma, and Clickup for infrastructure mapping and validation.
  • Industry Standards: Understanding of Common Criteria (example: EAL2+) and industry associations like PCI-SIG and NVMe.
  • Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical R&D and commercial Sales/PM requirements to address revenue gaps or strategic challenges identified in Quarterly Business Reviews.
