More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

Wise is unlike any other financial services company. You'll be part of a global movement that is bringing transparency and irreversible positive change around the world. Opportunities are everywhere here - to try something new, to learn, to do meaningful and impactful work, and they're yours for the taking. There's no corporate nonsense and no old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in individually responsible and empowered teams where you'll get tons of guidance and support from your Lead and talented, super-smart colleagues from all over Wise.

So, if you're an experienced PR professional with a passion for high-impact storytelling and hands-on execution experience across South East Asia (particularly in the Philippines), we'd like to hear from you. In this critical role, you'll drive our PR efforts, developing and executing integrated PR strategies, managing agency partners, and delivering measurable results through compelling storytelling. This is a hands-on execution role with strategic input, perfect for someone looking to own markets end-to-end.

This role will be based in our Singapore office.

What you'll do:

  • Own strategy and execution: Develop and implement comprehensive communications plans that cover earned media, integrated campaigns, product launches, and BAU press office. You'll manage everything from press release drafting to media relationship building and event coordination ensuring consistent excellence across all communications activities.

  • Drive high-quality campaign execution: Lead integrated PR campaigns that drive brand fame and business results in both markets. Think creator-led travel activations in Malaysia, product education campaigns in Philippines, cultural moment newsjacking, and experiential brand experiences. You'll bring creative ideas to life while managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Manage agency partnerships: Oversee PR agencies providing clear briefs, constructive feedback, and performance management. You'll optimise their outputs, ensure ROI, and know when to handle work in-house vs. delegate to agencies. Build strong working relationships that help agencies be effective extensions of our team.

  • Generate consistent media coverage: Secure regular earned media placements for product launches, partnership announcements, and thought leadership that position Wise as the leading cross-border payments solution in both markets.

  • Build and maintain strategic media relationships: Cultivate relationships with journalists and editors across business, technology, lifestyle, and consumer media in both countries. You'll pitch compelling stories, respond to media inquiries, and position our spokespeople as go-to experts on cross-border payments and fintech innovation.

  • Tell market-specific stories: Develop culturally relevant narratives for Filipino and Malaysian audiences.

  • Work cross-functionally: Partner with Marketing, Product, Growth, and Expansion teams in both markets to ensure communications efforts are aligned. You'll be the comms voice in campaign planning sessions, providing media perspective and ensuring brand consistency.

  • Drive performance measurement: Track and report on PR activities with clear metrics showing coverage volume, quality, reach, message penetration, and business impact. Use data to optimise future campaigns and demonstrate ROI.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Proven PR execution experience: You've spent 5-7 years building your career in public relations, with demonstrable experience owning campaigns end-to-end. You've worked in-house delivering measurable results through earned media, integrated campaigns, and creative activations.

  • Regional expertise: You have an understanding of the cultural nuances, and business environment, with ability to quickly learn and understand each. You know the key outlets, journalists, and what makes news in Southeast Asian markets especially in the Philippines. You have established media relationships you can leverage immediately.

  • Strong execution and project management: You can juggle multiple projects simultaneously - splitting your time between Philippines and Malaysia means you're organised, prioritise ruthlessly, and deliver on time. You've successfully managed campaigns with multiple workstreams, tight deadlines, and competing stakeholder needs.

  • Stakeholder management skills: You can manage relationships with marketing managers, product leads, and country managers effectively. You know how to influence cross-functional partners, push back professionally when needed, and build trust through delivery. You're comfortable managing up and providing proactive updates.

  • Creative thinking with practical execution: You can develop fresh campaign concepts rooted in market insights while being pragmatic about budgets and timelines. You know what will actually work vs. what sounds good in theory. You balance creativity with feasibility.

  • Strong writing and communication skills in English & at least one other language (Proficiency in Tagalog is a bonus): Crafting press releases, pitches, social posts, and briefing documents is second nature to you. You write clearly and persuasively, adapting tone for different audiences and channels. You can translate complex product features into compelling stories.

  • Valid Singapore work rights: You already have the right to work in Singapore (we cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role).

What's in it for you:

We offer you a position in the driving seat at one of the world's foremost tech companies and a chance to truly be a part of something great. It goes without saying that you'll be a part of a fun, friendly atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to grow personally and professionally. You'll get a competitive salary, flexible work hours and the opportunity for international travel. Everyone gets shares in the company too, because we believe that what we're building belongs to each of us.

Additional Information

Salary: SGD 8,300 - 10,700 per month + RSUs

If you are keen to apply, it'll be highly appreciated if you could include the list of countries you have PR experience with in your resume/profile.

For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders  — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.

We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
