PR Communications Manager

Job Description

Who Are We?

IG Group is a UK-headquartered FTSE 250 company, providing a range of investing and trading products to clients globally through the IG and Freetrade brands. We're a global company with offices in 18 countries and products in 16 regions, including a growing presence across Asia Pacific.

This is an exciting and transformational time for the business. We're hungry to move faster, roll out new products, and grow our user base. We believe in high autonomy, and we want people who can hit the ground running and work independently.

What's the Role?

We're looking for a PR & Public Affairs Manager to join our PR & Communications team, supporting IG's presence across Singapore and the wider APAC region. If you're passionate about delivering bold PR campaigns that break the mould, and you enjoy working in a fast-moving newsroom environment, this could be your next big move.

What Will You Do?

Reporting to the PR & Communications Lead, you'll play a key role in building this function across APAC, helping to deliver a high-volume press office, regular campaigns and a proactive public affairs programme. You'll help to shape PR content and the strategy behind it — making an interest in investing and personal finance essential.

  • Help manage 2–3 agencies across the region, ensuring they deliver high-quality work and produce excellent results.

  • Draft, edit and review a range of content — from press releases to campaign plans — maintaining impeccable standards.

  • Support strategy, contributing to campaign briefs, tracking progress against targets, and having a view on how to improve things.

  • Manage reporting activity — ensuring accurate reporting of results and producing monthly activity reports which provide valuable insights for the business.

  • Generate and develop PR ideas, collaborating with our agencies.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to draw news and data out of the business which can be harnessed for PR.

  • Help prepare spokespeople for media engagements, developing messaging documents and Q&As for key announcements.

  • Connect with key journalists and political stakeholders across Singapore and APAC, occasionally outside of work hours, to build IG's network as well as your own.

  • Work closely with our market analysts, supporting them on media opportunities and harnessing their expertise for PR story generation.

What Will You Need for This Role?

We're seeking someone with experience working in PR or journalism. To succeed in this role, we think you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience: Ideally from a fast-paced PR agency, tech or fintech business, or in national journalism in Singapore or the wider APAC region.

  • Creativity: You should be comfortable coming up with ideas for pitches and data stories and contribute creatively to the development of campaigns.

  • Exemplary writing skills: AI may have sped up the process, but you will still need strong writing and editing skills and the ability to deliver at speed.

  • A passion for numbers: A lot of our content focuses on market performance, trends, returns and statistics — you need to enjoy this aspect of the job.

  • Ruthless attention to detail: You will produce and review a lot of newsroom content and should be someone who scrutinises every word, every number and every bit of punctuation.

  • Investing knowledge: While we don't expect you to be an expert from the start, you will need a good understanding of investing, asset classes, what makes markets move, macro triggers, and companies.

  • Strong time-management skills: This is a fast-paced role — we need someone who stays calm under pressure and delivers on time.

It's a Bonus If You Have

  • Experience working with investing brands.

  • Experience managing agencies.

  • Existing relationships with financial journalists across Singapore or APAC.

Diversity & Inclusion

We believe that diversity is vital to success — it fuels creativity, drives innovation and sets us up for global success. We're committed to building teams with a variety of perspectives and skills to help us realise our vision and strategy, that's why we encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join us on this journey.
