                   Post Graduate Intern – Private Equity, Investment
                                                   (4 – 6 months)

As a Private Equity Intern, you will undertake  a range of tasks and gain hands-on exposure to the end-to-end investment process. You will work alongside our investment professionals, participating in evaluating, structuring, and executing private equity transactions. The role will equip you with a comprehensive skillset and exposure to the full investment lifecycle.

In this role, you will support the origination and execution of private equity transactions with a focus on financial services in emerging and frontier markets.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Conduct market research, screen potential targets and analyse potential investments, including financial analysis, structuring, and valuation modelling;
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our markets and generate deal ideas in collaboration with the private equity team;
  • Assist  senior team members in due diligence, including financial analysis and financial modelling;
  • Support the preparation of investment memos for the Investment Committee;
  • Assist with portfolio management including driving value creation efforts, reporting  , and identifying exit opportunities.

Depending on your capabilities and interests, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.

Required skills and experience

We are looking for candidate who has completed or is currently enrolled in a Master’s degree/MBA programme with strong academic results. You should possess a solid understanding of finance and accounting and  be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. You are passionate and highly motivated to learn about investments and portfolio management and can grasp new ideas and concepts quickly.

  • Proficient in financial modelling and analysis;
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (including financial modelling);
  • Previous experience in financial services or experience in emerging markets a plus;
  • Current student or recent graduate of a leading university or Business School; progress towards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification is a plus;
  • Fluent in English, fluency in one of the Asian languages (Hindi / Bahasa / Vietnamese) is desirable;
  • Eligibility to work in Singapore with a valid permit is required.
