This is an exciting opportunity to join the Engineering Division of The London Stock Exchange Group as a Project Management Officer (PMO) Lead at a time of growth and development.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Cyber Security Senior PMO Manager and will be joining an excellent well run PMO Team.
They will work closely with Programme and Project Managers, Finance Teams, Procurement, Group Transformation Office and Engineering Portfolio teams to ensure robust execution against the Group Change Framework and Delivery Disciplines.
The PMO will be directly supporting various projects within the Cyber Security programme,
The ideal candidate would be self-motivated and has experience in working in a fast-paced Technology environment
Responsibilities
Working with various teams to ensure that investments and initiatives align with divisional strategy and priorities for Cyber Security projects
Act as an SME for Project Management templates, toolsets, governance, and quality assurance to maintain standards and drive continuous improvement across programmes – work in collaboration with the Group Transformation Management Office as the need arises.
Prepare and coordinate board packs and various reports that include project management metrics including financials, risks, issues, change requests and business outcomes.
Drive Financial reporting including variance analysis, budget tracking, and strategic decision making to support effective project management governance.
Support Project Managers in ensuring Group Delivery Disciplines and LSEG Change Framework standards are met.
Coordinate and have oversight of actuals and forecast reporting, following up with Project Managers variances in actuals vs forecasts, challenging costs where over and under budget, working with Finance to remediate any cost issues and frequent review of run rate/spend.
Experience and skills required
PMO experience in a portfolio and programme/project management environment.
Project Finance experience including understanding of budget, actuals, forecasts, benefits/disbenefits, purchase orders, resource management and accounting processes and reports.
PMO governance across programmes/projects against a formal project management methodologies, project planning, project financial and resource management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and track record to work effectively with all interpersonal levels.
Management of data and proficiency with project management and reporting tools such as Clarity PPM or other similar PPM tools
Preferred
Project Management qualification i.e. Prince2 or PMP
Global experience – working effectively with teams in various time zones.
Experience in large investment banking or financial services organisations
Experience and knowledge of supporting a large number of projects
Educated to degree level or equivalent
