Your Focus
As a Perfumery Assistant, you will be responsible for general laboratory duties, including daily fragrance compounding, preparing samples for consumer tests as needed, data entry, maintaining accurate records of all perfumer trial oils, and performing other ad-hoc tasks as required.

How You Will Contribute

• Accurately and promptly weigh formulas.
• Order raw materials (RM) and packaging materials.
• Prepare IPCs oil for flashpoint.
• Regulate and prioritize tasks for junior perfumer assistants.
• Label and stock materials routinely.
• Order urgent raw materials via SAP and refresh expiring lab materials.
• Record all perfumer trial oils neatly in an Excel sheet.
• Create application tasks using SAP system and follow perfumer's instructions.
• Retrieve raw materials, prepare dilutions, and fragrances for perfumer training.
• Ensure raw materials from Jurong plant match existing stocks in color, physical state, and odor.
• Prepare smelling strips from international targets, existing stock, and new stock for perfumer approval, compound dilutions for powder and strong-smelling materials.
• Accurately record perfumer creations.
• Tidy workbench daily, return materials to designated areas, maintain lab equipment, and report abnormalities or near-miss incidents to the supervisor.
• Prioritize compounding requests and liaise with requesters on completion dates.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Diploma in Chemical or any other relevant discipline
• Basic compounding knowledge
• Familiar with using SAP tools for logistic and material request
• Practice safety and good housekeeping
• Basic computer knowledge
• Good team player, open minded, embrace diversity
• Able to work well under pressure
• Meticulous
