Perform detailed checking and verification of remittance transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Review Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transactions to identify and escalate any suspicious activities in line with AML guidelines.
Oversee and manage a small team during the Team Lead’s absence, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
Assist the Head of Remittance in handling ad hoc tasks and projects as needed to support the department’s goals.
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to remittance and AML reviews.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies and enhance operational processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards in payment operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or Tertiary Education
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in payment operations, remittance processing, or related financial services.
Strong knowledge of AML regulations and transaction monitoring processes.
Proven ability to supervise and lead a small team effectively.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Proficiency in payment systems and Microsoft Office applications.
