Job Roles & Responsibilities
Administer the databases and Oracle Applications in Production, Test, and Development. - Monitor, manage and maintain the database and ensure optimisation of performance
- Responsible for the installation / migration or upgrade of databases based on Client’s requirement.
- Responsible for the hardening of Database in accordance with Client company policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Coordinate with Client’s data centre team and business application team to perform the monthly maintenance activity.
- Provide technical database administration support to the application developers and business super users.
- Monitor several database components through Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and resolve issue identified.
- Clone Oracle Databases and Non-Oracle Databases
- Apply patches to Databases and applications based on Client’s requirement.
- Troubleshoot problems related to applications and databases and provide support including tar logging.
- System health check and data management – defragmentation, export/import, relocation of data files, and database refreshes.
- To support the Client in the backup and recovery of databases and applications.
- Participate in and support Client in scheduled DR exercises
- To change password periodically for default database users used by Oracle application as Client’s security policies.
- Housekeeping of databases and applications in scope as per Client’s policies.
- Configuring of OEM alerts for Databases.
- To support client on program deployments and code migrations.
- Provide necessary documentations as per Client’s requirement
- Liaising and working with Oracle Customer Success Services team to support Client projects and initiatives.
- Prepare weekly and Monthly report.
- To participate in Oracle Cloud migration and Oracle upgrade projects, providing support in database administration activities according to project schedule.
