NeuromodulationOur Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.JOB DESCRIPTION – Neuromodulation Sr. FP&A Analyst This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to support Japan (60%) /Asia (40%) of our Neuromodulation division. Asia being China primarily, followed by Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. This role will be based in Tokyo (Shiodome) and is an individual role report directly to the APAC FP&A manager based in Singapore.With responsibility focus on but not limited to financial planning, reporting and analysis, you will be a key member of country leadership team supporting financial planning and decision making with appropriate financial data and analysis. You will also work with various stakeholders from different functions and locations to drive effective reporting process and seamless operations.Major Responsibilities:Planning & Forecasting
  • Identify key business drivers to build financial models for revenue & margin scenarios
  • Prepare financial plans (P&L) based on financial modelling and performance expectation of the division
  • Prepare quarterly P&L forecast based on current performance trend and latest market dynamics
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, new product launches and spending initiatives by modelling alternative financial scenarios
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and divisional level
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance
  • Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports
  • Prepare customized reports to drive visibility of financial information across the organization
Business Partnering
  • Work closely with commercial leaders to identify growth opportunities/risks
  • Support commercial initiatives with scenario analysis and other financial inputs
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (CFS, demand planning, customer service, legal & compliance, regulatory, etc) to ensure seamless operations
Other Responsibilities
  • Ensure a sound and compliant financial process and support internal/external auditing enquiries
  • Support the design and implementation of incentive scheme
Required Experience
  • At least 3 years of working experience in relevant FP&A role
  • Solid knowledge of US-GAAP and managerial accounting.
  • Excellence data analytics skill with excel
  • Excellent communication in Japanese and English
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience in medical related business is preferable
  • Experience in cross-board/international environment is preferable
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive fact-based decision making
