Design, modernize and operate resilient campus and data center network infrastructure using SDN and cloud technologies. Define architecture standards, drive telemetry for SLA observability, consult on deployments, and mentor engineers to resolve complex network performance and reliability issues.
You will be part of the dynamic team responsible for building resilient network infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies such as cloud-based and software-defined networking e.g. SD-WAN, ACI and NSX. You must have a good understanding of IT infrastructure systems, and knowledge in the latest networking technologies and platforms. You will be a technical specialist in a team, and must be keen to take on new challenges and keep abreast with rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design and modernise complex network infrastructure to achieve optimal network performance to ensure scalable, sustainable and secure operations
- Define architectural standards, reference models and guidelines that enhance security, resiliency and scalability
- Drive actionable insights with good telemetry data to ensure meeting SLA
- Envision and identify selected network technologies to meet future needs, keeping pulse with industry early trends and development
- Provide network consultation to project teams for system deployment, working with various stakeholders to resolve complex technical problems and optimise network performance
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
- Background in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in network design, implementation and/or operations
- Manage complex network environment with strong network knowledge and skills
- Manage campus and data centre network infrastructure with emphasis on network observability for site reliability engineering
- Knowledge in Git, Terraform, Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge in cloud platforms, automation at scale using scripting languages (e.g. Ansible, Python, PowerShell), storage networking and software defined networking will be an added advantage
- Deep expertise in networking domain with broad knowledge on inter-dependent technologies and understanding of trending technologies
- Good communication skills, system thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
- Technical leadership and mentoring/coaching experience
- Strong team player and highly motivated
Nice-to-haves
- Certifications in networking domain such as CCNA/CCNP, VCP (Network Virtualisation)
