Network and Protocol Analysis (Internship Project)
Be an Early Applicant
Conduct research on web vulnerabilities, common and proprietary network protocols, and protection mechanisms. Analyze networks and protocols for vulnerabilities or suspicious activity, document findings in reports, and potentially develop network visualization tools and processes that improve protocol analysis. The internship lasts 2–4 months and is intended for undergraduate or pre-university students with prior knowledge of network protocols and programming.
Duration: 2 - 4 Months
Internship Type: Undergraduate, Pre-University
Network and protocol research is important to improve the overall cybersecurity posture. An understanding of the network communications and the protocols within can reveal vulnerabilities that could be exploited by attackers. In this fast-changing landscape, researchers need to actively analyze updated or new protocols to stay ahead of any possible threats. To support the research, the analysis tools used by the researchers need to continuously evolve to adapt to the changing research requirements.
You can work on multiple aspects within network and protocol analysis work to gain a good understanding of the research and contribute to building secure remote communications.
The main deliverable of this project is an analysis report on vulnerabilities or suspicious activities present in networks and protocols. Where applicable, you may also be required to develop analysis tools.
