Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud environments while supporting the needs of our development and business teams.Job Description:
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms
- Perform routine system administration tasks and troubleshoot issues in cloud environments
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure operational reliability
- Implement backup and recovery procedures for cloud-based systems and data
- Apply security patches and updates to cloud infrastructure components
- Assist in capacity planning and resource optimization to control cloud costs
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud operations procedures and configurations
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 operational support as needed
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)
- Basic scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Cloud certifications (AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, etc.)
- Experience with database administration in cloud environments
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.)
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, etc.)
- Familiarity with GitOps principles
- Experience with cost optimization in cloud environments
- Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and implementation
