The Operations Risk individual is a crucial role responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks. This individual will work closely with various business units and stakeholders to ensure a robust operational risk framework is in place and effectively implemented, contributing to the overall resilience and efficiency of the organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide independent reviews and challenge on Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) and root cause analysis of Operational Risk Events (ORE)

  • Partner process owners in the design and review of their processes to strengthen their control environment

  • To perform regular review of operational risk policies and procedures

  • Develop regular reports for management that summarize the number and financial impact of operational incidents, broken down by the type of incident.

  • Analyzing trends in how often these incidents happen and how serious they are over time

  • Follow up progress of any previous Internal/external audit or MAS or findings/action plans and issues have been resolved

  • Any other adhoc duties

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Accountancy/Commerce/ACCA or any other relevant education

  • 3 years of hands-on Operational risk in Banking and/or financial institutions

  • Able to Multi-Task, Self-Motivated with good interpersonal skills.

  • Able to take on new tasks as required by the business and by the management.

  • Meticulous, alert & have an eye for figures & details
