Join DayOne – Shaping the Future of Data Infrastructure
DayOne is a global leader in the development and operation of high-performance data centers. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, we’ve built a robust presence across Asia and Europe — and we’re just getting started.
As we expand into new international markets, we’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join us on this exciting journey. This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to be a key contributor to our dynamic team and help shape the future of global data infrastructure.
If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne’s next chapter.

About the Role

As an MEP Engineer Intern, you will join DayOne’s DC Solution & Engineering team and gain exposure to how Mechanical, Electrical, and ELV systems are planned, coordinated, and integrated in large-scale data center projects.

This internship is designed for students who are passionate about mission-critical infrastructure and want to understand how data centers are designed from a real project and engineering perspective. You will learn through guided document reviews, technical discussions, mentor support, project examples, and selected coordination activities.

What You Will Gain

Join DayOne’s DC Solution & Engineering team to gain hands-on exposure to data center Mechanical, Electrical and ELV systems. You will learn how cooling, power, monitoring, alarms, controls, and system interfaces are coordinated in mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for students from Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, ELV, Controls or related engineering backgrounds who want to connect classroom knowledge with real-world data center design.

Key Learning Areas

  • Mechanical cooling systems and heat rejection concepts.
  • Electrical power distribution and redundancy principles.
  • ELV/BMS/EPMS/DCIM monitoring and interface concepts.
  • MEP spatial coordination and discipline interfaces.
  • Design-for-maintainability and design-for-safety considerations.
  • Commissioning, testing, handover, and operational-readiness requirements.
  • Data center design standards, checklists, and review processes.

What You Will Do

  • Review selected MEP drawings, design standards, specifications, and checklists with mentor guidance.
  • Study typical data center MEP system arrangements and summarize key learning points.
  • Observe selected design coordination meetings or technical review discussions.
  • Prepare simple comparison tables, study notes, interface observations, or marked-up drawing comments.
  • Ask structured technical questions and discuss findings with mentors or discipline engineers.
  • Explore one focused MEP topic that matches your background, such as cooling maintainability, power distribution, BMS points-list quality, MEP interface coordination, or commissioning readiness.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma, Undergraduate, or Graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, ELV/Controls Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Interested in data centers, mission-critical facilities, engineering systems, infrastructure design, or digital infrastructure.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and willing to learn from technical documents and project examples.
  • Comfortable asking questions, summarizing information, and presenting learning in a structured way.
  • Able to use AutoDesk CAD/Revit, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for basic documentation and study work.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of HVAC, power distribution, ELV, controls, or building services systems.
  • Ability to read simple engineering drawings or technical diagrams.
  • Interest in design coordination, system reliability, sustainability, safety, or operational performance.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive learning attitude.

DayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
If you're ready to grow with one of the fastest-moving companies in the data center industry, apply now and be part of our global journey.
