Role Summary and Impact

Overview of job
You will play a key role as a Manager, Media Planning in WPP Media network, working closely with your clients on a day-to-day basis.

You will also work together with members of the buying team to ensure delivery of performance driven campaigns across all channels.

Reporting of the role 

This role reports to the Business Director

Responsibilities:

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with your clients, agency partners, specialists, and media partners to ensure effective collaboration and campaign execution.
  • Act as a key point of contact for media partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and negotiating favourable terms.

Strategic Planning & Idea Generation:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop comprehensive offline and online media plans that align with campaign strategies, incorporating innovative ideas and leveraging the most effective media channels.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.

Campaign Execution & Optimization:

  • Coordinate with media buyers, partners to ensure timely and accurate campaign implementation, adhering to high executional standards.
  • Manage and track media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and generate insightful reports to optimize campaigns and maximize return on investment (ROI).

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Develop and deliver regular reports, including media flowcharts, budget updates, contact reports, competitive analyses, and post-campaign reports.
  • Collaborate with data teams to extract meaningful insights from campaign data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients in a clear and concise manner.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring junior members of the team to help them upskill and help them better manage their communication and work when dealing with clients and specialist teams.
  • Manage and evaluate media briefs, providing strategic recommendations from a planning perspective.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in media planning.
  • Work closely with the finance department to ensure adherence to financial processes and timely data updates.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a digital marketing role with a focus on performance media planning.
  • Strong understanding of social media and search engine marketing principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of the Singapore media landscape for offline channels including but not limited to TV, Radio, Print, Outdoor and KOLs
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful media plans across various channels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with experience in data visiualization and analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine curiosity and passion for the advertising industry and a strong desire to learn and grow.
