The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Manager to join our Singapore team and become part of a network of over 400 Building Services professionals across the Asia Pacific.

You will be working with a diverse client base on a variety of projects, delivering sustainable and high-performance building solutions that shape Singapore’s built environment. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, take on both technical and leadership responsibilities, and contribute to the successful delivery of key projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Building Services Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and institutional developments. You will provide technical leadership, manage project delivery, build strong client relationships, and support the growth and development of our team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects, ensuring quality, compliance, client satisfaction and deadlines are met.
  • Manage projects from concept design, through to completion.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, providing technical direction, resource planning, and delivery oversight.
  • Prepare and review engineering design deliverables, technical specifications, tender documentation, proposals, and design stage reports.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project planning, budgets, profitability, resourcing, schedules, and risk.
  • Provide technical leadership and approve key project deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
  • Drive innovation, sustainability, BIM adoption, continuous improvement in project delivery; and continuously improve practices; challenging “standard” approaches where better outcomes are possible.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to team growth through mentorship of engineers and designers, recruitment, capability development, and strategic planning.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore is advantageous)
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in an engineering consultancy environment delivering Building Services projects
  • Proven experience leading Mechanical Building Services design and coordination across healthcare, commercial, hospitality, industrial, and education sectors
  • Strong understanding of Singapore codes, regulations, and authority approval processes
  • Experience managing project delivery, including programme, resources, and budgets
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and BIM platforms
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills
